During this year’s National People’s Congress sessions, “embodied intelligence” was formally included in the Government Work Report for the first time. At Zhongyuan Dynamics—a national high-tech enterprise rooted in Zhongyuan Science City and driven by technological innovation with embodied intelligence at its core—new industrial application scenarios are constantly emerging, marking the company’s entry into future industry competition.

  1. Equipping Robots with “Intelligent Vision”

    Embodied intelligence, designated as a nationally prioritized future industry, holds limitless potential. “These machine vision 3D products we independently developed may appear compact but deliver powerful functionality,” explained Wan Lihong, co-founder and CTO, while showcasing various innovations. Rows of precision instruments equipped with OD-Vision drag-and-drop machine vision software integrate 2D/3D processing and deep learning algorithms. Capable of point cloud preprocessing, object recognition, and robotic trajectory planning, they reliably identify disorganized items under complex industrial conditions.

    3D cameras function as “intelligent eyes” for embodied robots. Since last year, Zhongyuan Dynamics has refined its entire product line, categorizing 3D industrial cameras into four specialized types: grasping, welding, polishing, and measurement—each paired with tailored vision systems and algorithms. Traditional vision systems struggle with complex shapes, material variations, and lighting fluctuations, often failing to achieve precise positioning. Zhongyuan Dynamics’ 3D industrial cameras overcome these challenges through advanced algorithms that swiftly identify workpiece positions, calculate optimal grasping paths, and guide robots to execute tasks efficiently—even for dark-colored or low-reflectivity materials.

    The company has independently developed seven 3D camera models supporting high-precision measurement, positioning, polishing, inspection, and welding applications. These cameras leverage superior imaging technology and algorithms to serve industries including new energy, aerospace, automotive manufacturing, and non-ferrous metal smelting, driving intelligent upgrades and efficient production.

    In November 2020, the company debuted its first creation—an urban maintenance AI embodied robot—at Zhengzhou East Railway Station. Entirely developed with proprietary algorithms and domestic components, it achieved significant localization in intelligent robotics. Two years later, Zhongyuan Dynamics assisted Luoyang LYC Bearing Co., Ltd. in digitally upgrading bearing production lines. Using 3D vision-guided robotic grasping and modular workflow design, the company automated 11 processes—from raw material sorting to final cooling—establishing a foundational “digital factory.”

    In 2023, Zhongyuan Dynamics launched galvanometer-structured light cameras, enhancing robots’ “vision” for microscopic precision. An Inner Mongolian aluminum company immediately deployed multiple vision workstations equipped with these cameras to replace human workers in high-precision carbon block polishing tasks—bringing “future factories” closer to reality.
